"Buddy the Elf, what's you favorite color?" If you don't know that line, you have been living under a rock for almost 20 years. Or maybe you're young and uninformed, either way with the holidays upon us- you need to get to a TV. Watching Christmas movies has long been a tradition of the holiday season. And each classic has it's own reign in time, although It's A Wonderful Life, somehow always manages to make the list. However, that's so last century, literally. According to the people of the 21st Century, Elf is the most beloved Christmas movie of our time, according to a recent survey. FandangoNow, Fandango's premium digital video service, got into the holiday spirit by surveying more than 1,000 movie fans, asking what their favorite Christmas movies were, but only the ones made in the 21st Century. (So from 2000 and on for you youngins). The people have spoken, and the 2003 holiday classic starring Will Ferell took the cake. Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis said in a brief statement: "Elf is the most beloved holiday movie in my household because it's a film that makes you feel warm, happy and silly, and everyone needs some of that come the holidays. That, plus Will Ferrell's elf antics will never get old!" Goodbye to those debates at Christmas dinner about whether or not Die Hard is the best holiday film, we have our winner. So long holiday romantic movies like, Love Actually, that make us all wish we weren't single, you've met your match! Elf has actually surpassed the DVD and Blu-Ray discs. Since it's 2003 debut it has been adapted into a Broadway musical and holiday TV special. Speaking of cable... If you're looking to catch it this year, Elf airs on Freeform at the following EST times: December 22 at 11:50pm, December 23 at 12:50pm, December 24 at 9:15pm, or December 25 at 6:45pm. You're welcome.
